Ciabatta, baguettes sour doughs, ryes and many more. Our team of bakers have earned the Goatshed quite a reputation and the smell of freshly baked breads is both inviting and comforting. Try our signature Wuppertaler loaf or seasonal Mosbolletjies during the harvest time, while our Ciabatta and Baguettes are regular favourites. Call us ahead of time for special orders.
When the Goatshed was opened in 2004, it was decided that one of the key aspects of our offering would be world-class artisanal bread. This set us on a path that has seen our range and quality of bread expand and improve, making the Goatshed a destination well known for the love of our loaves.
We began a collaboration with Swedish master baker Johan Sörberg, who has now visited us a number of times. Johan’s international entrepreneurial and competitive baking experience has made him a popular and extremely valuable guest to the farm and his influence is clear to see. He has worked hard with our team of bakers, which is headed up by Sally.
The Goatshed now hosts weekly bread markets on Saturday mornings (weather permitting) and these have become a routine stop for many of our regular guests.
